Another Major Mars Announcement Coming This Week From NASA

It's time to ascend.

Mars Maven Mission Launch

For the second time in 2 months, NASA are set to reveal their findings in a major announcement scheduled for Thusday at 2pm EST at the James Webb Auditorium at NASA HQ in Washington.

Again, the event will be broadcast live onine, so everyone can tune in and see whats up.

NASA is set to reveal their key scientific findings about the fate of the Martian atmosphere that still remains, which mostly has been lost over time. MAVEN (Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution) is the spacecraft orbiting Mars which has collected the data – unfortunately at this stage, as always, NASA has not revealed anything further, keeping the message as cryptic as possible.

The people taking part in the live news conference: Michael Meyer, lead scientist for the Mars Exploration Program at NASA; Bruce Jakosky, MAVEN principal investigator, from the University of Colorado; Jasper Halekas, MAVEN Solar Wind Ion Analyzer instrument lead, from the University of Iowa; MAVEN science team member Yaxue Dong; and MAVEN co-investigator Dave Brain.

Questions can also be asked of the conference using the hashtag #AskNASA.

Some internet goers are excited and hoping that the discovery is evidence of an ancient nuclear holocaust from an ancient advanced civilisation. Possibility or reaching?

We’ll find out Thursday.
