The above video shows multiple camera footage captures of the event, with what seems to possibly be a meteorite exploding as it enters the Earth atmosphere.
An incredible sight, the entire darkness of the night seems to dissipate into light with the explosion. Witnesses say as it lit up the sky, the object seemed orange in colour and burning.
While some locals were naturally startled, local authorities have stated it was likely a meteor burning up in the atmosphere.
