This article is a few weeks old, however was still definitely worth listing.
A sailor by the name of Diocleciano Smith has reportedly stumbled upon a huge pyramid structure near Azores Island in Portugal, and believes it is not of natural origin. What makes this case interesting is that the government is apparently aware of the discovery and is investigating, with the aid of the navy.
The mammoth structure is said to be approx. 60 metres high with an 8000 square metre base. With the base bigger than a football stadium, it is also noted that the vertexes are aligned so one points north, and the other south – exactly like the Great Pyramid of Giza. The article also states that the sailor made the discovery some months ago, but wanted to study it himself for a while, before eventually revealing it.
It will be interesting to see what further information comes out of this in the near future – as it definitely is intriguing. We’ll keep our eyes and ears peeled in case any further updates come in about this story – or whether it gets completely shut down in silence.
